YMCA CAMP YELAGIRI is situated in lush green and beautiful landscape surroundings. Our centre has about 30 acres of land, suitable for learnning & conducting camps, retreats, group activities.

The camp centre is a favoured destination amongst some of the leading NGOs, corporates and government organisations as it offers amenities that include but is not limited to accomodation in rooms , dormitory accomodation, meeting halls, catering facilities, and an indoor chapel.

Pick-up & Drop Services:

  • From and To Jolarpettai Rail Head.
  • Will be arranged on prior request.
  • Actual charges have to be paid to the tour operator(s).

Other Informations

  • The normal charges for a Taxi from Jolarpettai Railway Station to YMCA Yelagiri Camp is Rs.900/- and for a 20 Seater Mini Bus it would cost Rs.2000/-
  • From Jolarpettai Railway Station Bus Stand to YMCA Yelagiri (Thayalur) direct buses are available at: 5.40 am, 9.00 am, 12.00 noon, 3.00 pm, 7.00 pm., bus charges around Rs.23/- per head. However, frequent bus service is available up to Athanavur (5 kms away from the camp) from where one can reach the Camp Centre by an Auto rickshaw, which cost you about Rs.100/-
  • Since the YMCA premises is meant for youth and families to maintain discipline the use of Alcoholic drink & Smoking in the Camp Centre is restricted.
